Why this exists

The Immigration and Citizenship Service already publishes everything needed to know whether a passport is ready. The problem is the format: very long lists, released office by office and ordered by name rather than by number. On a phone, on mobile data, finding one line is genuinely difficult.

This service does one thing. It reads those lists as they are published and lets you look up a single application number. Nothing is added to the published information, and quite a lot is deliberately withheld.

Independence

This is not a government service and is not affiliated with the Immigration and Citizenship Service or any Ethiopian government body. It is not endorsed by them. The lists are theirs; the search is ours.

If an official status checker becomes available, using it will be better than using this one, and we will link to it here.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no account, no payment, no advertising and no tracking.

Accuracy

Every list is read and then checked against its own row numbering; a list that does not reconcile is held back rather than published with gaps. Even so, a result here is a convenience and not an authority. Confirm with your branch office before travelling to collect.

Corrections and removal

If a record is wrong, or if you want a record removed, get in touch. Requests to remove a record are honoured without argument.
